I’m back from Chicago, where my work “My Treacherous Eye” was displayed as part of the American Tapestry Alliance’s show “Thinking Through Tapestry”! Every opportunity to show my work is a gift. I met so many incredible artists, took transit everywhere, and enjoyed a beautiful midwestern spring.
As soon as I came home, I got back to work on these trad flash sheets. Last time, I shared the green singles on the wheel. Behold their transformation on the loom! The handspun is pretty soft and inconsistent, giving the tapestry some heavy texture but it’s looking exactly how I wanted it to.
Yes, I drink coffee right next to my tapestries! My hubris is unchecked.
